portvMind is the public cloud platform that vMind Bilgi Teknolojileri A.Ş. launched in 2019. It runs on an OpenStack-based open-source architecture, is hosted in data center regions in Istanbul and Ankara and is operated by vMind’s own engineers. We don’t resell another provider’s infrastructure; we offer a platform we built, operate and take responsibility for.
vMind was founded in Istanbul in 2013 with 100% domestic capital. In its early years it specialized in systems integration, enterprise data centers, virtualization, private cloud solutions and managed services; in 2019 it turned this experience into its own public cloud platform.
In practice this means: your support request doesn’t go to an intermediary. The team that wrote the console, built the infrastructure and answers the line is under the same roof. You don’t have to look for who owns the problem.

A sovereign cloud means data is physically kept within the country’s borders and operated by an organization subject to that country’s law. On portvMind your primary copy, backups and log records stay in the Tier III+ data centers in Istanbul and Ankara; no data is transferred abroad without your explicit consent.
In many industries this is a precondition, not a preference. In finance, the public sector and healthcare, no architecture is approved until the question of where data is processed is answered. With global providers the answer is often in two parts: the data center may be in Turkey, but the operating company is commercially subject to the laws of other countries. With us there is a single answer.
portvMind is built on OpenStack. This choice is practical, not ideological: an open-source architecture is the only structure that doesn’t lock an organization into its supplier.
We use standard APIs, and you can take your images and data out in open formats. If you ever decide to leave the platform, you do so as a commercial choice, not because of a technical obstacle. We want your reason to stay to be satisfaction, not necessity.
The platform is operated by a staff of more than 50 expert engineers. Competence in OpenStack, Kubernetes, DevOps and network security is fed by in-house training and certification programs, not by outside consulting.
